Promatica was founded in 1987 with a focus on consultative services and sale and implementation of planning systems in the Oil & Gas, Aviation, Logistics, Manufacturing and Manintenance industries.

Based on its 30 years of experience from the market, Promatica started a co-operation with National Oilwell Varco (NOV) in 2006 to develop a system specifically designed and built for project management and supply chain management planning.

In 2009 Promatica made the strategic choice to turn the company around from being a consulting based company to a fully fledged software company with the focus on commercializing the solution that had been created for NOV.

In 2011 the cutting edge, state of the art planning system Anyplan has hit the market and has already secured international acclaim by international analytics company Gartner, who has listed Promatica as a Cool Vendor in the Supply Chain Management space.

Anyplan is unique, new software that combines the most well-know planning, scheduling methods in one tool. Using Anyplan it is possible to interact across various process types and tasks, using the same resources and calendars.

Anyplan is a planner-centric solution where it is possible to create plan including resouces and calendars without any link to a "project plan". A business can therefore be managed across functions and using resources that are not directly allocated in formal plans.
